Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
EG insight Design wants eG Codes to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, magnification or other assistive technology, and people with low vision, color-blindness, limited motor control or cognitive disabilities.
The standard we are aiming for
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We have not yet had the site independently audited, and we do not claim full conformance. This statement is our own assessment of where we are.
What we have done
- Pages use real headings, lists, buttons, links, tables and form labels, in English (
lang="en"), and every page has a “skip to main content” link and a landmark for the main content. - We build the pages with keyboard use in mind (design studio, dashboard, account, billing, sign-in), with visible keyboard focus. We have not yet tested every single control by keyboard alone.
- Dialogs are announced as dialogs, take keyboard focus when they open, keep it inside until closed, and return it to where you were.
- Text can be enlarged with the browser’s zoom and the layout reflows for narrow screens.
- We respect the “reduce motion” setting of your device and turn our animations off when it is on.
- Status messages (for example “Saved” and the result of the scan check) are written as text, not conveyed by color alone.
- Before you pay, the price, billing interval, first charge and renewal date are written out in words, not shown in a graphic.
Known limitations
These are the problems we know about. We are working on them, in this order:
- Scan-statistics chart. The small bar chart of scans per day is a graphic. The totals, the device, system and source breakdowns next to it are text and are accessible, but the individual daily bars are not announced to screen readers.
- Designing a code is visual. The code preview is an image and the color, shape and logo controls are visual by nature. The scan check, contrast warning and logo-coverage messages that tell you whether a design will work are text. Hosted code images and downloads have no description of how they look beyond the name you give the code; a descriptive name is a good alt text.
- Card form. Card details are entered in a secure form hosted by our payment processor, NMI, inside our page. Its accessibility is controlled by NMI, not by us, and we have not tested it with every assistive technology. If you cannot use it, email us and we will arrange another way to pay.
- Color contrast. We have not measured every combination. Some secondary (grey) text, small labels and status badges may fall below the 4.5:1 contrast ratio.
- Sign in with Google opens a pop-up window supplied by Google; you can use email and password instead.
- Not yet tested with a full range of screen readers and voice-control tools.
Tell us about a problem
If something on eG Codes is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us. Email eddie@eg-id.com with “Accessibility” in the subject and tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you use if you can. We aim to reply within 5 business days, and to fix or give you another way to do what you need. We can also provide information in another format, take a task over the phone, or do it for you on your account.
When this was reviewed
This statement was last reviewed on 10/29/2026, and we will review it again whenever we make a significant change to the site and at least once a year.
