Refunds

Our default policy: subscription fees are charged in advance and are not refundable for any part of a billing period that has started. That includes monthly and yearly plans, a partial month or year left after you cancel, and the prorated charge for an upgrade. When you cancel you keep your plan to the end of the period you paid for, which is the remedy. We make exceptions only (a) where the law requires a refund, and (b) at our sole discretion, for example when something went wrong on our side. Asking never costs anything.

Mistaken, duplicate and unauthorized charges

If you were charged twice for the same period, charged an amount that does not match what you agreed to, or charged after you cancelled, tell us and we will refund the wrong charge in full. If you see a charge you do not recognize, please contact us before disputing it with your bank so we can fix it quickly.

Failed payments

If a renewal is declined we email you and retry 1, 3 and 7 days after the first failure. If the last retry fails the subscription ends and the account moves to the Free plan; you are not charged for a period we could not collect. Updating your card in Account → Billing retries the overdue payment immediately.

How to ask for a refund

Email eddie@eg-id.com from the address on the account. Include the date and amount of the payment (it is on your receipt, and in Account → Billing). We usually reply within 2 business days.

How refunds are paid

An approved refund goes back to the card that was charged, through our payment processor. Your bank usually shows it within 5 to 10 business days. Refunding a payment does not change your plan: if you also want to cancel, do that in Account → Billing, or tell us.
